The 100 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Global Peace Yoga School in Dehradun and Rishikesh, India, offers a concise and immersive program over 11 days and 10 nights.
This short course provides a structured and holistic approach to learning yoga, making it ideal for beginners or those who practice yoga as a hobby. Our objective is to deepen the understanding and practice of yoga fundamentals, fostering personal and spiritual growth.
This training program integrates body, mind, and breath practices, offering a comprehensive yoga education. The curriculum covers essential yoga elements such as pranayama, shat kriya, asana practices, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy, relaxation (Yoga Nidra), and meditation. Specifically, our asana training focuses on the Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga styles.
Students will participate in six days of training each week, with one rest day. On the rest day, we organize a half-day excursion to visit sacred temple sites in Rishikesh, allowing students to connect with the spiritual essence of the region. Typically, the rest day falls on Sunday, but it may be shifted to a weekday to avoid tourist traffic during the high season. The excursion includes a beach yoga session to harmonize with nature, a small trek to explore the picturesque landscapes of Rishikesh, a waterfall trek to experience the serene beauty of the region, and visits to revered temples to immerse in the spiritual ambience. Additionally, participants can enjoy an exhilarating 9km river rafting adventure on the Ganges, adding a thrill to the day’s activities.
Our program is designed to inspire students in their personal and spiritual journeys. It provides a well-rounded yoga education that integrates practical and theoretical knowledge. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in yoga, equipping them with the skills and understanding to further their practice or begin teaching.

The 100-hour yoga teacher training course is an introductory program designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills in yoga practice and teaching. It is typically the first half of a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.
Anyone with a primary interest in yoga, regardless of their level of experience, can enroll. It’s suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners looking to deepen their practice or start their journey toward becoming a certified yoga teacher.
The curriculum usually includes basic yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, anatomy, yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and alignment principles.
While both locations offer high-quality training programs, Rishikesh is known as the “Yoga Capital of the World” and provides a more traditional and spiritual yoga environment. Dehradun, on the other hand, provides a serene and natural setting with a focus on holistic wellness and personalized training.
No specific level of physical fitness is required. Still, it helps to have regular yoga practice before starting the course. The training is designed to be accessible to all levels, with modifications provided as needed.
A typical day includes multiple yoga sessions, meditation, lectures on philosophy and anatomy, teaching practice, and self-study. The schedule usually runs from early morning to evening, with breaks in between.
While the 100-hour training provides a strong foundation, more is needed to start teaching professionally. To become a certified yoga teacher, it is recommended that you complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training course.
You will receive a certificate of completion from the yoga school, which the Yoga Alliance often recognizes if the school is registered with them. If you choose to continue your training, this certificate can be applied towards a 200-hour certification.
