If you are willing to spend a little more time learning yoga and are genuinely interested in learning the art in detail, The 500-hours TTC will cover the full range of Yoga Alliance certified training curriculum.
This is the highest level of certification that you can achieve in yoga and it will boost your resume as a yoga instructor. This certification course can be done in two ways. Either you complete a 200-hour teacher training course and follow it up by an advanced 300 hours course or if you have sufficient time with you, you can directly enroll in our 500-Hour training program.
Being an advanced course that is exhaustive, it is needless to say that you require regular practice beforehand or at least a 200/300-hour course before you are eligible to undertake the 500-hour training certification. It is to be kept in mind that all the courses must be from a registered yoga school (RYS). Upon completion of this certification and having a teaching experience of at least 100 hours, you are eligible to become a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500).
The importance of Yoga asanas cannot be overstated. Effective and regular practice of Asanas helps recover several ailments and disorders. Some physical benefits of asanas are improved flexibility and muscle tone, strength, good blood flow, and balanced metabolism. Better heart health and improved agility.
Psychologically, stretching of the body releases anxiety and stress, thereby calming the mind. If practiced regularly, it can help in diseases such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, bronchitis, arthritis, and many more. The yogic journey requires you to work your physical and mental faculties at their peak and so, regular asana practice works towards that.
At Global Peace Yoga, our asana classes are designed on the foundation of correct alignment and posture. If you are not in correct alignment, you cannot achieve the full benefits of yoga poses as it is a science and not a make-believe ideology. This 500 hour course curriculum lays emphasis on five major categories of asanas which are forward bends, backbends, balancing/standing poses, spinal twists, inverted poses and have a deep understanding of the form and benefits of each group of asana.
When you enroll for this program with Global Peace Yoga School, rest assured that our teachers will help you master the form of each Asana and get to know its benefits in detail. If you find a particular asana too difficult to execute, our experienced teacher will relay the knowledge of alternate Asanas to work up towards achieving advanced Asanas.
You would also be equipped with knowledge of when shouldn’t you perform an asana and what odifications/alternate asana could be performed to reap the same benefits.
To perform the asanas correctly and effectively, there is a need to learn about the physiology of the human body. The knowledge of biomechanics lets you know how the joints function within the human body so that you can prevent injuries to yourself or your students.
As a knowledgeable yoga teacher, your students entrust you to understand the human organism, physiology, through which you can their yoga practice and create a safe and healthy learning environment in the class. During our 500-hour teacher's training program in India, students will gain extensive and detailed knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, significant for yoga. You would learn all about energy anatomy, chakras, and nadis, etc.

You could be someone who believes in scientific research and if that is the case, all around the world, it is being proven that regular practice of breath regulation exercise is potent enough to alter your brain structure and enable you to function at an elevated level of consciousness The practice of pranayama is generally right after the asana session.

From a career point of view, this is the bare minimum qualification that you require to teach yoga as a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. Once you have completed your 200 hours yoga teacher training course from our RYS 200 Yoga School (Registered Yoga School), you will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance. This shall enable you to teach as a certified yoga teacher anywhere in the world.
